FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to methods of melt discharge from an inclined metallurgical reservoir. The method includes setting inclination of a reservoir (1), at which the cast melt (9, 6) leaks out from the reservoir (1) in the form of a stream. The position of the stream (18) leaking at the set inclination of the reservoir (1) is identified. The receiver (7, 10) is installed to receive the stream (18) leaking from the reservoir (1) at the appropriate inclination after the outflow start. Tracking movement of the receiver (7, 10) is provided in compliance with the variation of the liquid metal stream (18) depending on the angle of the metallurgical reservoir inclination that varies along with the outflow.
EFFECT: using the invention makes it possible to optimise and automate the process of melt discharge.
