FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology, and is intended for pterygium course prognosis. Alasens is administered orally in amount of 20 mg per kg of body weight. Three-channel fluorescent image of pterygium is obtained after 3 hour period, and red channel fraction (R%) of pterygium image is assessed by the formula: R%=(R/(R+G+B))*100% where R% is red channel brightness share in each point of pterygium image, R,G and B are brightness of red, green and blue channels forming each point of pterygium image. Then R% popularity rate through R% range is assessed with 2% increment, and pterygium growth rate is determined by the formula: A=Frmax/Fr<2% where A is pterygium growth rate, Frmax is maximum frequency of R% popularity in pterygium image, Fr<2% is frequency of R% popularity in the value range lower by 2% than the range with maximum popularity detected. For A under 2.0, static course of pterygium is forecasted, for A of 2.0 or higher, progressive course of pterygium is forecasted.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of pterygium course prognosis by non-invasive, shorter and more simple method.
