FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, and ophthalmology, and can be used in surgical management of strabismus. A method consists in isolation of an enhanced muscle, placement of suturing on the enhanced muscle, through-out suturing of the muscle, formation of a fold and anchoring of through-out suturing point to sclera. After placement of suturing on the enhanced muscle, it is divided into 3 equal portions over 4 to 9 mm from an attachment point. Middle and extreme portions of the muscle are sutured through with separating greater vascular intramuscular arcades. The latters are not sutured through. After the fold is formed, the middle portion of the muscle is anchored at first in the muscle centre at 1 mm from the attachment point. The extreme portions of the muscle are anchored to the sclera on both sides of the muscle. It is performed at 1 to 4 mm from borders of the attachment point of the muscle according to the size of the formed fold.
EFFECT: use of the given invention allows providing higher effectiveness of the operation, lowering probability of complications and initiating controlling the postoperative muscle strength with actual hypercorrection with no additional operation required.
