FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmology and can be used in strabismus surgery. A muscle is underrun on the edge of a natural attaching point. A middle suture is attached to sclera on centre in front of the natural attaching point of the muscle. In examining the patient next day postoperatively and observing a prospected hypereffect, the suture is removed under local anaesthesia. The suture is remained with correct eye position. After the muscle to be strengthened is separated, a required resection area is measured, and the muscle is underrun therein with two suture filaments on the edge. Besides a middle part of the muscle is sutured at a distance no more than 5 mm from the applied suturing in distal direction from the natural attaching point of the muscle. A prospected segment of the muscle is excised from the attaching point to the suturing applied on the edge of the muscle. The muscle is transferred to a new attaching point and sutured to sclera on the edge therefrom. Then the middle suture is fixed to sclera on centre in front of the new attaching point of the muscle.

EFFECT: higher effectiveness of strabismus surgery ensured by planning the hypercorrection removable next day after operation while actual hypercorrection enabled.
