FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 2-(4-hydroxy-3-morpholinyl)-2-cyclohexenone (BTG-1675A), which involves the following steps: 1) reaction of N-hydroxymorpholine with cyclohexenone in the presence of an oxidising agent consisting of an ester and an amide of azadicarboxylic acid to obtain isoxazolidine of formula IV and 2) conversion of the isoxazolidine of formula IV to 2-(4-hydroxy-3-morpholinyl)-2-cyclohexenone. The invention also discloses use of an ester or amide derivative of azodicarboxylic acid to oxidise N-hydroxymorpholine, which is used in production of BTG-1675A.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain a large amount of BTG-1675A and is suitable for use on an industrial scale.
