FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: concentration of the analysed substance is determined using an electrochemical process without Cottrell damping. A sample is put into a sensor strip. A signal is applied to the sample after an incubation period of not more than 8 s. A short-term damped signal is generated in response to redox reaction of particles to be measured, wherein the particles to be measured are formed during redox reaction of part of the analysed substance in the sample. Further, concentration of the analysed substance is determined from the short-term damping of the generated signal. In another version of the method of determining concentration of the analysed substance, a signal is applied to the sample after an incubation period of not more than 8 s, where the signal includes at least three excitations, each having duration of 0.1-5 s.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables rapid determination of concentration of an analysed substance from short-term damping.
