SUBSTANCE: wireless communication service is received through a mobile device from a source base station and several dedicated uplink control channels for transmitting signals with a scheduling request to a plurality of target base stations; the target base station is selected through the mobile device based on analysis of parameters of a plurality of target base stations and a scheduling request is sent through the mobile device to the selected base station from the plurality of target base stations over at least one of the dedicated uplink control channels.

EFFECT: easy handover of a mobile device in a wireless network from a source base station to a target base station without using a random-access channel.
