FIELD: electrical communication engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Exemplary method performed, for example, by UE of inter-machine communication (MTC), generally includes identification, within subframe, of first search area for monitoring of control channel, which occupies first number of blocks of physical resources (PRB), which represents a narrowband band within a system bandwidth comprising a plurality of narrowband bands, and monitoring at least a first search region relative to the control channel, wherein the control channel comprises broadcast control information.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling communication over a control channel using a search region based on a relatively narrow range (for example, six physical resource blocks).
