SUBSTANCE: filter system has a path for flow of water to undergo filtration, having a mounting socket for removable installation of the filter cartridge, recognisation apparatus and counter-apparatus for determining suitability of said cartridge, lying respectively on said mounting socket and interacting with each other when the cartridge is inserted into the mounting seat to enable operation of the filter system after recognisation of suitability of the cartridge or transfer its operation or signal suitability or unsuitability of the cartridge if the cartridge has been recognised or not recognised by the recognisation apparatus, respectively. The recognisation apparatus and counter-apparatus have valve apparatus lying on the path after said cartridge to block the flow path between said mounting socket and reservoir on the path after the cartridge, for selective interruption of said path if the cartridge is not recognised when inserted into said mounting socket. The counter-apparatus has a contact surface formed on the free end of the element protruding from the bottom of the cartridge into a recess which surrounds and receives said protruding element.
EFFECT: improved quality of the purified water.
