FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry, particularly a method of producing 3,5-diaryl-1,3,5-thiadiazinanes of general formula (1): which involves reaction of hydrogen sulphide-saturated aqueous formaldehyde solution (37%) with arylamine (o-toluidine, n-bromoaniline) in molar ratio of initial reagents arylamine:CH2O:H2S=20:30:10, at temperature 0°C and atmospheric pressure for 0.5-1.5 hours in a water-ethanol medium.
EFFECT: method of obtaining novel compounds which have potential for use in producing medicinal agents, eg, having hypolipidemic activity, capable of inhibiting atherosclerosis of vital human body parts.
