FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing N-aryl-1,3,5-dithiazinanes of general formula (1): , where Ar = phenyl (a), 4-methoxyphenyl (b), 2-nitrophenyl (c), which involves reaction of arylamines (Ar-NH2) with N-methyl-1,3,5-dithiazinane in the presence of a samarium nitrate crystalline hydrate catalyst (Sm(NO3)2*6H2O), taken in molar ratio arylamine : N-methyl-1,3,5-dithiazinane: Sm(NO3)2*6H2O = 10:(10-12):(0.3-0.7), in an atmosphere of argon in chloroform as a solvent at room temperature (20-21°C) and atmospheric pressure for 3-5 hours.
EFFECT: novel method of producing N-aryl-1,3,5-dithiazinanes, which can be used as biologically active substances, eg, agents with antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties, complexing agents, selective sorbents and extraction agents of precious metals, special reagents for inhibiting bacterial action in different media.
