FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of endothermic electrolysis, in particular, to an electrolytic cell for high-temperature electrolysis, which is capable of operation in allothermal mode, comprising chambers (2, 4, 6), which represent accordingly upper, middle and lower chambers, and also at least one electrolytic plate (8), representing a combination of an anode and a cathode, and a device for heating a working fluid medium, subject to high-temperature electrolysis. The body of the electrolytic cell is made as capable of maintaining an electrolytic bath under high or very high pressure, equal to several tens of bars, and the device for heating an active fluid medium is made as heating plates (10), arranged in parallel to electrolytic plates (8), at the same time heating plates have substantially the same size as electrolytic plates. The fluid medium-coolant circulates in heating plates (10) and heats the fluid medium contained in the body by means of heat exchange.
EFFECT: provision of electrolysis in endothermic mode with stable and homogeneous temperature conditions.
