FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: diagnostic technique in aseptic inflammatory process in a lumbar epidural space in compression syndrome consists in dissolving a cerebrospinal fluid in water in proportion 1:100 that is followed by absorption spectroscopy at wave lengths 209-211 and 219-221 nm. The derived spectrogram is analysed for maximum absorption coefficient. If the maximum absorption coefficient is more than 8.0±1.24 cm-1 at wave lengths 209-211 nm or more than 4.36±2.08 cm-1 at wave lengths 219-221 nm, an aseptic inflammatory process in the epidural space in diagnosed.
EFFECT: technique allows providing higher diagnostic accuracy in normal CSF protein content.
