FIELD: car industry.

SUBSTANCE: method for measuring quotient of wheel traction with artificial surface is carried out by means of braking. The measuring wheel is rolled over the artificial surface and then it is slowed down with accordance to the surface condition, and the normal force P of the measuring wheel applied to the surface is measured. The moment of brake force (M) created by the brake magnet is measured, as well as the moment of traction force (Mg) of the measuring wheel with the surface, and then the moment of brake force (M) and the moment of traction force (Mg) is constantly kept equal (M=Mg), during this operation a maximum braking force P“тор.макс.” is received, equal to the wheel traction force P“сцп.” with the surface. The traction quotient is calculated using the formula: K“сцп.”=Mg/PR, where К is the measuring wheel radius, m.

EFFECT: measurement accuracy increase.
