FIELD: textile industry.
SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to design of canopies and tents and to methods of their control. The invention allows to keep the canopies or tents in tension during extending/retracting by detecting the position and speed and regulating the movement. The retractable tent has a coating capable of extending or retracting and which has the first engine capable of extending the coating, the second engine for retracting the coating, and a control unit to control both engines. The first and the second engines are synchronized to keep the tension of the coating within the given range.
EFFECT: production of the said tent.
