FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport and aims at perfecting control over auxiliary AC generator voltage of diesel locomotive operating with traction DC and AC generators. In compliance with proposed method, voltage from storage battery output is fed to auxiliary AC generator excitation winding terminal via self-excitation current limiter of auxiliary AC generator with its input connected with diesel locomotive onboard circuit. Voltage from auxiliary AC generator output is fed via first semi-controlled rectifier and self-excitation current limiter of auxiliary AC generator to auxiliary generator excitation winding input, while voltage from auxiliary generator output is fed via third semi-controlled rectifier to traction generator excitation winding input. Result of comparison is sent to input of pulse-phase control system and control inputs of controlled semi-controlled rectifier incorporated with AC voltage auxiliary generator excitation winding.

EFFECT: simplified control and higher reliability.
