FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing ω,ω'-dihydroxyoligo-dialkylsiloxanes of general formula HO-[SiR1R2O]n-H, where R1=-CH2, -C2H5; R2=-C2H5; n=10-30, through aqueous hydrolysis of dialkyldichlorosilanes in the presence of calcium chloride at temperature 30±2°C with total functionality of the system equal to 2, with concentration of calcium chloride in the formed water-calcium chloride-hydrogen chloride ternary mixture equal to 28-30 wt %, and 15-20 wt % concentration of hydrogen chloride.
EFFECT: obtaining oligoorganosiloxanes which are stable during storage owing to lower content of low-molecular dialkylcyclosiloxanes; obtained oligoorganosiloxanes have valuable physical and mechanical characteristics, can be used independently or can serve as the basis for obtaining novel products with valuable service properties.
