FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device is incorporated with system provided with variable compression ratio engine and catalyst fitted in exhaust gas channel and comprises compression ratio determination module, temperature estimation module, compression ratio control module and destruction determination module. Compression ratio determination module is arranged to define compression ratio. Temperature estimation module is arranged to define catalyst temperature proceeding from compression ratio determined by aforesaid module. Destruction determination module serves to define catalyst destruction degree proceeding from catalyst temperature defined by aforesaid said module. Compression ratio control module serves to control compression ratio to constant degree at definite destruction of catalyst defined by appropriate module. Invention covers versions of control device implementation.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of system diagnostics.
