FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology, and can be used for treating complicated leukomas. A recess matched with a support plate of a keratoprosthesis (SPK) is formed in a stroma of an allogenic donor cornea. The recess cornea is treated with riboflavin and exposed UV light to improve its strength properties and resistance to lachrymal proteolytic enzyme. Before the SPK is introduced in the formed recess, autofibroblasts pre-recovered from recipient's skin are cultured in a monolayer on the SPK's surface; then the prepared SPK and said autofibroblasts cultured on collagenic microcarriers are introduced in the formed recess that promotes to form a connective tissue matrix surrounding the SPK, and after the SPK has been fastened to leukoma tissues, it is coated with an amniotic membrane to prevent the grafts from drying.
EFFECT: more effective and safe method.
