FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: in the apparatus, a pulse former is connected to a lower level discriminator connected to a signal amplifier which is connected to a photodiode. The lower level discriminator is also connected to a reference signal source, and the reference signal source and the amplifier of the signal from the photodiode are connected to a comparator circuit which is connected to a second amplifier. The trigger input and the discharge current source are connected to the pulse former. A current-limiting resistor is connected to a controlled current source. The second amplifier is connected to the controlled current source, which is connected to a blocking capacitor which is also connected to the discharge current source. The blocking capacitor is connected to the output of the device, and the amplifier of the signal from the photodiode is connected to the blocking capacitor.

EFFECT: higher stability of controlling radiation and high speed of operation.
