FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: signal from a photodiode is transmitted to a lower level discriminator which triggers a reference signal source. The reference signal is compared with the amplified signal from the photodiode and the obtained difference signal is then amplified. The difference signal of the comparator circuit is used to control the current source whose pulse is summed up with the amplified signal of the photodiode using a blocking capacitor. First, based on the trigger signal from the pulse former, a signal is transmitted to the discharge current source, thereby discharging the blocking capacitor. Discharge of the capacitor stops when the lower level discriminator is triggered.
EFFECT: higher stability of controlling radiation and high speed of operation.
