FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: thin disperse material containing iron oxide is pre-reduced by means of reducing gas at least at one stage of preliminary reduction and then reduced to sponge iron at final reduction stage. Sponge iron is molten in gasification zone in liquid melt at supply of carbon carriers and oxygen-containing gas so that the reducing gas containing CO and H2, which is supplied to final reduction stage, is formed. It reacts at final reduction stage; then, it is discharged and supplied at least to one pre-reduction stage. Some part of thin disperse material containing iron oxide is introduced at least to one pre-reduction stage and final reduction stage and to gasification zone in liquid melt, and the other part of thin disperse material containing iron oxide is supplied directly or together with carbon carrier and oxygen-containing gas immediately to gasification zone in liquid melt.
EFFECT: invention allows increasing the efficiency and providing the stability of the process.
