FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention includes housing with coupling and nipple, which has vertical feedthrough hole and cylindrical horizontal cavity perpendicularly crossing it. Cover plates are attached opposite to each to the outer side of the housing. Shutoff element is tightly installed in horizontal cavity of the housing and holes of cover plates with possibility of being turned through 90°. Outer surface of shutoff element, which interacts with sealant, is made in the form of a sphere, and sealant is made in the form of a sleeve installed in the bore of vertical feedthrough hole, which is made above cylindrical horizontal cavity. Preventer is equipped both with manual mechanism and hydraulic cylinders to move dies and turn the shutoff element.
EFFECT: improving reliability and operating safety of preventer.
