FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: single ram preventer refers to the equipment designed for sealing the wellhead of oil and gas wells in order to ensure the safe conduct of work to prevent and eliminate oil and gas water showings and open fountains, to protect the subsoil and the environment. The blowout preventer contains a one-piece alloy steel casing with upper and lower flanges, having a through axial channel for passing pipes down the well, a through side channel located perpendicular to the axial channel and closed with side covers. Inside the body, in the side channel, there is a ram valve containing two oppositely located dies, tubular for sealing pipes along the outer diameter or blind to block the through axial channel in the absence of pipes in the well. On the outer lateral sides of the preventer case, in the areas between the side covers, cavities are made, interconnected by through channels, located in pairs under the side channels and above the side channels, closed with removable covers and forming a sealed heating chamber, with each removable cover for supplying and removing the coolant fitting.

EFFECT: improved performance of the preventer at low temperatures.
