SUBSTANCE: invention includes a first birefringent layer (I), which has the slow axis in a plane which forms an angle of almost 45° with the absorption axis of a first polariser; a second birefringent layer (I), which has the slow axis in a plane which is essentially orthogonal to the slow axis in the plane of the first birefringent layer (I); a second polariser which has an absorption axis which is essentially orthogonal to the absorption axis of the first polariser; a birefringent layer (II), which has the fast axis in a plane which is essentially orthogonal to the absorption axis of the second polariser.
EFFECT: higher contrast coefficient with large angle of view.
