SUBSTANCE: unit for storing an image forming substance comprises a housing part, a held part and an arresting element. The housing part extends in the direction in which the unit for storing the image forming substance is installed into the image forming apparatus. The held part lies on the side where the operator of the housing part is located, in the direction in which the unit for storing the image forming substance is installed into the image forming apparatus such that the held part can be held by hand. The arresting element lies on the top part of the held part. The arresting element is interlocked with the image forming apparatus. The arresting element also prevents movement of the unit for storing the image forming substance installed in the image forming apparatus in the direction in which the unit for storing the image forming substance is pulled.

EFFECT: design of a unit for storing image forming substance, which can prevent improper installation into an image forming apparatus.
