FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used on electronic, chemical and oil and gas-processing companies as well as on thermal and nuclear power plants. The method involves filtration of the purified water from top to bottom through a mixed layer of cationites in H form and anionites in OH form and regeneration of ionites with layer-by-layer separation thereof with an upward stream of water. Regeneration is carried out by feeding an alkali solution from the top through an anionite layer and an acid solution from the bottom through a cationite layer with simultaneous removal of the spent solutions through a middle distribution device lying between the separate layers. The ionite layers are washed with water in the direction of the regenerated solutions followed by mixing the separated cationite and anionite layers and final washing of the obtained mixed ionite layer with water which is fed from top to bottom. After passing through the mixed ionite layer, the purified water and the final washing water is filtered through an additional underlying cationite layer in H form, where during regeneration loosening water is first passed through that layer to separate ionite layers and the acid solution to regenerate the cationite. The apparatus has a filter housing with a filter medium of the mixed anionite and cationite layer and an additional underlying cationite layer, as well as a top, a middle, a bottom and an additional distribution device between the bottom and middle devices.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain finely demineralised water of high quality while simultaneously reducing water consumption.
