FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: proposed wire comprises carbon, silicon, manganese, nickel, molybdenum, vanadium, chromium, nitrogen, aluminium, iron and admixtures in the following ratio in wt %: carbon 0.34 - 0.45, silicon 0.15 - 0.50, manganese 6.0 - 8.0, nickel 12.5 - 14.5, chromium 0.15 - 0.30, copper 1.2 - 2.2, molybdenum 0.5 - 1.2, vanadium 1.0 - 1.7, aluminium 0.005 - 0.025, calcium 0.0010 - 0.025, nitrogen 0.05 - 0.2, iron and admixtures making the rest. Steel contains following substances as admistures, in wt %: sulfur 0.005 - 0.020, phosphorus 0.005 - 0.030, lead 0.0002 - 0.005, tin 0.0002 - 0.005, bismuth 0.0002 - 0.005 and arsenium 0.0002 -0.005. Ratio of total content of hydrogen and nitrogen to vanadium makes 0.25 ÷ 0.5, while total concentration of austenite-forming elements satisfies the following condition: [Ni] + 0.5 [Cu] + 1.15 [Mn] = 18 - 26%.

EFFECT: higher strength, reduced embrittlement in ageing, stable low magnetic conductivity.
