FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method to apply polymer coats onto a ballast layer consists in the fact that in order to avoid lifting of crushed stone fractions in process of a high-speed train passing by, prior to polymer treatment, all track works are completed on track reconstruction, and geometric parameters of a rail track are assessed. A polymer is a polymer based on polyurethane, which is evenly applied onto a ballast layer in amount of not more than 1.4 l/m2 to create coupling points after its polymerisation in areas of crushed stone contact via a polyurethane layer.
EFFECT: avoidance of crushed stone lifting with air flow during high-speed motion of trains.
