FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises making and impregnating top ballast layer with liquid polyurethane-based binder. First, ballast layer is removed from track ballast section to make temporary slope with height H on track acting part. Liquid polymer binder is introduced into slope top layers and adjoining sections of ballast prism with width of H/2 to produce carcass structure of ballast layer to depth of 7-14 cm by adhesion of ballast grains in contact points. Then, processed ballast layer is cured for 1-4 h for binder hardening in absence of dropping fluid and vibration.
EFFECT: higher durability, improved operating performances.
