FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: luminaire is designed for insertion of at least one longitudinal gas-discharge lamp. Luminaire consists of close-packed frame assembled of translucent base with electric devices mounted on it and translucent hood. Base and hood are made of pressure-moulded plastic of the same batch in a common injection mould having basically symmetrical construction as referred to plastic feed; base and hood are overlapped along edges and one of them is made as inserted element while the other is made as U-shaped groove for this element. Moreover in inner part of U-shaped groove there is seal made of foam elastomer with smooth surface layer and inserted element is pressed into it to pre-set depth. Inner wall surface of U-shaped groove contacting with seal has structure optimising cohesion of seal with inner wall surface of the groove and thermoplastic material is polypropylene.
EFFECT: improvement of fixturing for luminaire frame components due to expansion factor balancing between specified frame components.
