FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to surgery, and may be applied for treating hiatal hernia. A pedicle diaphragm flap of the size 1.0×3.0 cm is cut out with a flap base arranged closer to an anterolateral border to the left from a border of an oesophageal opening. An oesophagus is brought down into the abdominal cavity. The diaphragm flap is fixed by a number of sutures to the anterolateral wall of the oesophagus. In 3.0-4.0 cm in a lateral direction from the oesophagogastral vestibule, a posterior wall of the stomach is anchored to the posterior end of the oesophageal opening, while the anterior wall of the stomach is anchored to the anterior end of the oesophageal opening. A gastric fundus is anchored between the sutures circumferentially to the end of the oesophageal opening. The diaphragm integrity is restored. It is followed by chiatoplasty with a polytetrafluoroethylene or polypropylene film over the diaphragm.
EFFECT: method allows reducing a risk of recurrence.
