FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves mobilizing left lobe of the liver. Gastroesophageal ligament or membranous diaphragm is cut near the anterior edge of the esophageal foramen of the diaphragm. Hernial portion of the stomach is mobilized and 0.5 cm of the esophagus. Diaphragm is separated from pericardium 3 cm in width and forwards from their posterior adhesion line. Anterior edge of the gastroesophageal transition zone is sutured with pericardial surface of the diaphragm 3 cm forwards from its esophageal foramen. Diaphragm incision edges are sutured. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
