METHOD FOR PREVENTION HYPOSTATIC PNEUMONIA AND LOWER DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS IN PATIENTS IN ACUTE STROKE Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61H1/00 A61G7/05

Abstract RU 2448671 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. For the purpose of prevention of hypostatic pneumonia and lower deep vein thrombosis in patients in acute stroke, there are prescribed drug-induced therapy, paretic extremities massage and additionally on the 3rd-12th day following the developed acute stroke, the patient is exposed with using a standing frame with an integrated passive step motion system combined with haemodynamic control during the exposure with the therapeutic course making 5-12 procedures. The first procedure starts with increasing a frame inclination by 20 degrees, a step frequency - 24-28 a minute. If observing the stable haemodynamic values after 4 minutes of staying on the frame, the frame inclination is increased to 40 degrees. Staying on the 40-degrees inclined frame for 4 minutes with showing the stable haemodynamic values requires decreasing the frame inclination to 20 degrees. Then 4 minutes later the frame is driven to a horizontal position. A length of the standing procedure within the course is gradually increased from 12 to 30 minutes with the frame inclination from 20 degrees to 60 degrees by the 3rd-4th procedure, the step frequency - from 24-28 a minute to 28-32 a minute.

EFFECT: method provides reduced rate of developing complications of immobilisation in the patients in acute stroke, early standing of the patients with enabled exposure balancing according to the patient's state during the procedure.
