METHOD FOR EARLY FUNCTIONAL TREATMENT OF STABLE PELVIC FRACTURES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2703881 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used in conservative treatment of stable pelvic fractures. For this purpose, in the absence of signs of traumatic shock, achieving a satisfactory general condition and absence of restless pain syndrome, within the first three days after injury, independently turns over on stomach, then occupies position across cot with both feet lowered on floor. Rises with support on both lower extremities using walkers. Then begins to walk and walk with the walkers, starting from 5 minutes 6 times a day, increasing daily walk duration for 5 minutes and bringing it up to 20 minutes in each of six verticalization episodes. If there are no signs of poor tolerance of vertical load, which are such indicators as, reduced systolic arterial pressure by more than 20 mm Hg, and diastolic arterial pressure by more than 10 mm Hg of the initial values, tachy- or bradycardia, tachy- or bradypnoea, decreased consciousness level by 1 and more on Glasgow coma scale, pain intensification by 2-3 points on the visual analogue scale, radiograph of pelvic bones is performed, and if fragments are displaced by more than 5 mm from the initial one, further activation of the patient is stopped.

EFFECT: method provides improving the functional results of the stable pelvic fractures treatment, manifested by reducing the manifestations of immobilization syndrome, early recovery of the patient's self-service ability and independent movement, reduced frequency of hypostatic complications.
