SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Essence of the proposed method consists in simultaneous passive vertical (raising to 60° according to the protocol) and stimulation of the diaphragm and the right diaphragmatic nerve in the patients with acute cerebrovascular event, which are on artificial ventilation for more than 48 hours. Verticalisation is followed by diaphragm lowering, followed by stimulation of motor nerves of both diaphragm and intercostal muscles (auxiliary respiratory muscles), which potentiates the inhalation phase in such patients.

EFFECT: method of combined application of passive verticalisation and myoneurostimulation of diaphragm and right diaphragmatic nerve is physiologic from the position of respiratory biomechanics, enables preventing the development of complications (polymyoneuropathy of critical conditions), reducing the length of artificial ventilation, thereby improving the rehabilitation prognosis in the patients with low physical activity tolerance.
