FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy. Method involves heat effect with scanning laser beam on surface of reverse side of the part. Then, laser action is performed on surface of working side of the part. Action on the part working side and reverse side is performed at similar power of laser radiation. At that, action surface area is chosen from the following ratio: Swork/Srev=2÷4, where: Swork - surface area of action on part working side, mm2 ; Srev. - surface area of action on part reverse side, mm2.
EFFECT: reducing labour intensity of hardening method and decreasing residual deformation value of parts.
