FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of treating articles with a laser beam and can be used in machine building for one-sided surface laser hardening of the working surface of steel parts in the form of plates and sheets without changing the hardness of their reverse side, for example, armor and marking plates, spacer plates in large presses. Method consists in the fact that the real parameters of the hardened plate are pre-determined and its 3D model is built taking into account the real shape of the plate surface. Process of surface hardening of the plate is simulated by its 3D model with real hardening parameters and the shape of the surface of the plate and the value of its residual deformation relative to the real shape of the surface of the plate are determined prior to simulation of the surface hardening process. Modes of thermal action are assigned when the laser beam moves along the non-hardened surface of the plate and the trajectory of the laser beam is based on the surface shape and residual deformation value determined during simulation of the process of surface hardening of the plate and provided that the non-hardening side of the plate is excluded. Thermal action is performed on the non-hardened side of the plate with specified modes and trajectory of laser beam movement with simultaneous measurement of deformation of the plate surface. Measured values of deformation of the plate are compared with values determined in the process of modelling, and the specified modes of thermal action on the non-hardened side of the plate are corrected to ensure permissible deviations of the shape of the surface of the plate during quenching.
EFFECT: obtaining specified allowable deviations of the shape of the surface of parts in the form of steel plates and sheets during one-sided laser hardening of their surface.
