FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: sclerometry of deposited coating applied on base material is carried out with subsequent measurement of geometric parameters of deformation of the coating surface. At the initial stage of geometric parameters measurement, the width of base material scratch and the width of deposited material scratch are measured with the following determination of wear resistance coefficient by the formula: K=c b/d, where b is the scratch width of base material (mcm), d is scratch width of deposited layer (mcm), c=0.7÷1.5 - coefficient taking into account specificities of the deposition process (modes of treatment, additives).
EFFECT: increase of accuracy and simplification of evaluation technology of wear resistance of deposited coating applied on the base material.
