FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: in order to determine degree of stability of small laboratory animals to circulatory hypoxia dynamics of severity of decompression disease severity is estimated. During 2 hours after continuous 4-minute decompression from higher air pressure, animals' state is observed and degree of expression and time of onset of disease symptoms are determined. Index of animal stability to circulatory hypoxia in points is determined by formula: U=A+B+C+D+E; where: A is degree of expression of disease symptoms during the first 15 minutes, B - from the 16-th to 30-th minutes, C - from the 31-st to 60-th minutes, D - from 61-st to 90-th minutes, E - from 91-st to 120-th minute after decompression. Animals which get 8 points and less, are referred to group of highly resistant, 9-18 points - to group of resistant, from 19-45 - to group of medium resistant, 46-83 points - to group of low-resistant, 84-107 points - to group of non-resistant to circulatory hypoxia, 108 and more - to group of extremely non-resistant. Animals with lethal outcome independent on terms of its occurrence are considered to by extremely non-resistant to circulatory hypoxia.

EFFECT: method increases accuracy of determination of degree of resistance of small laboratory animals to circulatory hypoxia.
