FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to aviation, space and marine medicine. Rabbits are placed into a pressure tight chamber, then the chamber is sealed and filled with a hypoxic gas mixture containing 10% of oxygen and 90% of nitrogen. Animals are kept in this atmosphere for 40 minutes and dynamics of severity of hypoxic hypoxia symptoms is assessed on 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 minutes of staying in hypoxic environment. Intensity and time of onset of the symptoms of hypoxic hypoxia are determined, and immediately after the removal from the hermetic chamber, the intensity of the disturbed biochemical status is determined, and then a degree of the rabbit’s resistance to normobaric hypoxic hypoxia (U) is determined by original formula.
EFFECT: method enables determining a degree of resistance in rabbits to normobaric hypoxic hypoxia by assessing the dynamics of severity of symptoms of the given disease and the biochemical body values that in turn enables providing more accurate determination of resistance and accuracy of the whole experimental study.
