FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: method for restriction of brine water inflow to production well includes the following: perforation of production string against production zone followed by determination of formation pressures, creation of waterproof screen in upper part (additionally perforated via production string) of water-bearing zone by means of arrangement of insulation material in it, activation of formation fluids inflow, and oil production via flow column from well upon depression on production zone. Before activation of formation fluids inflow the following is performed: intervals of perforation of production and water-bearing zones are separated by packer installation in production string, additional pipe string is lowered till its lower part is tightly fixed in packer, additional pipe string is completely filled with insulation material. Density of chosen insulation material is to provide equivalence of insulation material column pressure and of pressure in water-bearing zone Insulation material is arranged in water-bearing zone by retraction upon depression on production zone.

EFFECT: increasing efficiency of isolation works.
