SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas production industry and can find practical application in waterproofing operations in oil producing wells to isolate the inflow of plantar water. Method of carrying out waterproofing works in a well production that has opened a water-oil reservoir, before its start-up includes drilling an oil well, opening the oil-saturated part of the reservoir. Opening of the underlying water-saturated part of the formation is carried out 2–3 m below the water-oil contact (WOC) level. Lower the production column with a perforated shank and with an oak packer to a depth of 2–3 m above the WOK level. Unpack the annular packer. Lower the drill pipe columns with the swelling action packer so that the sealing element of the swelling packer is at the WOK level. After swelling of the sealing element of the packer, the waterproofing composition is pumped through the drill pipe string into the water-saturated part of the formation to create a waterproof screen. Detach the upper part of the drill pipes from the bottom with the swelling packer. After the hardening of the cement, drill pipes with a chisel are lowered. Bottom of the drill pipes with the swelling packer is drilled out. Flush the chips to the surface. Raise the drill string with the chisel. Lower the pump-compressor pipes (PCP) columns, pour cement mortar to install the cement cup from the bottom of the well to the WOK level. Lift the PCP, expect cement hardening (ECH). Master the well through the perforated shank of the casing string and remove the well to the regime.

EFFECT: increase the well operation time due to the creation of a water- insulation screen at the boundary of the water-oil contact.
