FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: ceramic burner comprises a discharge balloon (22), with a discharge space (24) with an ionised filler containing one or more haloids. The balloon (22) comprises a ceramic wall (30) arranged between the first and the second end parts (41, 42), through which current-supplying conductors (51, 52) extend for electrodes (53, 54) installed in the discharge space to support the discharge. The ceramic wall (30) comprises a tube (66) to introduce the ionised filler into the discharge balloon in process of ceramic burner manufacturing. The tube (66) protrudes from the ceramic wall (30) and is equipped with gas-impermeable sealing arranged by ration of the protruding end of the pipe with a laser beam, at the same time the area of location of the pipe relative to the ceramic wall (30) is selected so that in process of operation the temperature drop inside the pipe below the condensation temperature of substantially any component of the ionised filler is prevented.
EFFECT: invention prevents cracking in a ceramic material of a container, due to the possibility to arrange gas-impermeable sealing at the distance from the ceramic wall of the discharge balloon.
