FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of tungsten oxide nanotubes to be used in production of hard alloys. In compliance with this method, powder mix is prepared containing powders of tungsten carbide, bivalent copper oxide and nano-sized copper produced by conductor electric blast technology. Powder mix is arranged on ceramic substrate in layer with thickness not exceeding 10 mm. Said substrate is placed in vacuum furnace to be heated to 600°C and held at said temperature for not over 30 s. Then, powder mix is cooled down to separated nanotubes from byproducts of sintering.
EFFECT: simplified process, higher purity.
