SUBSTANCE: in the method, depending on the combined content, data contained on a web page is divided into text and multimedia; said data are transmitted into an advertisement display system and compared with data in the database of the advertisement display system based on the principle of visual similarity of multimedia data from the web page with multimedia data from the database of the advertisement display system and the principle of matching of the text from the web page with text descriptions from the database of the advertisement display system; lists of relevancy of specific types of data from the web page to corresponding advertisement categories or advertisement updates are obtained by mapping data from the database of the advertisement display system to specific advertisement categories or advertisement updates; a list of data from the web page is formed, which is sorted according to descending values; a limited set of advertisement updates corresponding to maximum values from the list is shown on the web page.
EFFECT: high accuracy and shorter search time owing to a combined query.
