FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining at CNC lathes and may be used for control over machined part geometrical parameters. High-resolution video camera is used as optical pickup. Proposed device additionally incorporates unit of amplification and video signal processing, impulse stroboscopic illuminator, pulse voltage generator and synchroniser. Output of the latter is connected to pulse voltage generator while output of the latter is connected to input of pulse stroboscopic illuminator. Illuminator optical output is connected to optical input of high-resolution video camera while computer is used to define surface roughness by height parameters of micro irregularities and to compare them with preset values.
EFFECT: higher precision of machining and control over machining quality.
