SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the agricultural machinery and can be used in cutting devices of agricultural machinery for mowing grain crops. The segment of the cutting device consists of a back, a track for contact with the clamp and the base. On the back of the segment there is a cutout to reduce its weight. On the base of the segment the holes are made for attaching it to the blade strip. On the sides of the segment the blades are formed. On the back part of the blades a wear-resistant diamond-like coating is applied. Between the base and the back of the segment the cutouts are made with an ability to exclude the bending under the action of vertical forces.

EFFECT: segment of the cutting device has a reduced consumption of materials, which increases the operating efficiency of the cutting device.
