FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: device to remove icicles from a coping eave of roofs comprises a trunk knife rigidly fixed to a carriage arranged as a whole with a nut capable of reciprocal movement and interacting with a screw connected via a horizontal reduction gear and a coupling with an electric drive. The carriage is supported in the vertical position by a guide rod pulled through a bushing pressed in the upper part of the carriage. Ends of the guide rod are fixed on brackets to a building wall.

EFFECT: reduced operational expenses during performance of roof cleaning works.
