SUBSTANCE: method to do finishing works on existing structures includes making element halves from a non-elastic material strip capable of shaping with the thickness of 0.7-0.3 mm, to make slots of a fixture of a "dovetail" type, their attachment onto finished surfaces of structures so that slots are formed on them for the fixture of the "dovetail" type, where ledges are inserted for the fixture of the "dovetail" type in decorative, insulating, linoleum, parquet, carpet plates, the latter are taken out during subsequent repair, and new plates are introduced.

EFFECT: invention will make it possible to increase manufacturability of finishing works.
